How to fix an error code -994 on Facebook on iPhone?

So my friend, found out that his iPhone has come up with a code that won't let him use Facebook and I was wondering how to fix it? He's in a different state and traveling back and wants me to figure it out for him before he gets back on the road today. I've looked all over, and nothing's helping. I would appreciate it if I got an answer. I've told him to delete the app and re install it and re login or remake his password. But I don't think its going to work.

Is there a mutual DNS code for all Irish iPhone 5's? Or did I have a specific code? Is there anyway of getting my code back? If so, how?
