How to fix an iPhone if Four Loko got spilled on it?

Its an iPhone 3Gs, super cracked, but not as bad as it could be. Some pieces are taken out of the phone on the screen and near the home button giving liquids easy access to the inside. I turned it on and I know you're probably not supposed to do that but I was curious. I can see the apple just slightly and then it brings me to an iOS 6 page that's also super dim. I don't know if rice will work, but the drink was also really sticky and I don't know how that will effect the possible recovery process.

Just get a new iphone. The phone is outdated and water damage is really expensive to fix. You can try the the rice method if you want though.

At this point you are due for an upgrade anyways, don't mess with a damaged phone and just get a new contract.
You can recycle your old stuff on apple's site and they will give you store credit for it, so at least you will get something back for it. Even if damaged something is better then nothing.
