How to fix iphone 5 no service in another country?
I can't get any service for texts or calls but i can get Wi-Fi for internet.
Go into your settings and change it to allow. My husbands works when we travel but be prepared for a bit bill when you activate it. You will be charged for your carriers charge plus the carrier its piggybacking on where you are if you do.
Also be aware that the GPS uses data even when you turn off the Internet and roaming on that phone. The GPS needs to be turned off separately in the settings then location. If you don't it will cost a fortune.
When we went to Switzerland my husband had the Internet turned off but not the GPS and one week of that cost over $400 in data charges even though he wasn't using it. He now turns GPS off when traveling.
- Will my Iphone 5 work in another country? I'm planning on going to America and need to use my phone. I won't be needing it to call people, just to browse the web and to listen to music. My phone IS unlocked. Will I need to change the sim or get a sim from America? I'm from Australia btw.

- What does an iphone need in order to work in another country? I'm sending an iphone 4s to brazil to a cousin and want to know if it will work there. Does it need to be unlocked or will an iphone with a clean esn work? Please let me know soon!
- Turn iPhone to iPod in another country? I'm going on a month long trip to Japan and would like to bring along my iPhone 4 to take pictures with, listen to music, etc. I'm NOT TRYING TO USE IT AS A PHONE TO TALK OR TEXT OR USE DATA. I don't have international services. So I figure I can take out the SIM card and it will be an iPod touch with no services, right? My problem is that I don't want to come home to a big fat surprise bill.
