How to get 3G on an Ipad using an Iphone with 3G?

I'm looking into getting an Ipad. I don't want to pay the extra to get 3G and have a monthly fee. I have an Iphone 4 with 3G. I heard somewhere that there may be a way to get 3G from your Iphone to your Ipad. Is this true?

Truly and indeed is. Now I don't have an iPhone, but there should be an option in General, Carrier, Mobile Hotspot. That's gonna do it.

Depending on your carrier, your iPhone may have a setting called Mobile Hotspot which will let it create a Wi-Fi network that your iPad could connect to. But your carrier will probably charge you extra to use the mobile hotspot feature.

Yes, you're right, and it's very easy. You create a Wi-Fi network on your iPhone that you can log onto with your iPad.

All you have to do is to go to the settings on your iPhone ("Settings" app -- "Personal Hotspot" -- turn from Off to On, and follow the instructions on the screen on your iPad. You will need to wait a couple of minutes for the Wi-Fi network to appear on your iPad, then log onto the network using the password shown on your iPhone.

It's even easier than it sounds here, and yes, it does save you buying an iPad with 3G.
