How to get all my stuff back onto my iphone

So i downloaded the new IOS 6 software onto my Iphone 4s and didn't like it not one bit so i tried restoring my phone and then backing up my old phone BUT before doing so i stupidly plugged my phone into my computer while it had the IOS 6 software and it said it could not go through cuz i had the wrong version of itunes and didn't proceed

so i restored my phone and all that only to try to back up my old phone and it saying "The phone could not be backed up due to it not saving from last time" (Thats not identical to what it said but you get it)

So now i have lost all my contacts and everything and i'm just devistated…

Please is there any way to get all my stuff back?

Restore from backup on itunes or if you use icloud restore with that.

It's ok, don't panic.
1. Do you have iCloud? Go into settings scroll down to iCloud, click it, and turn on contacts -- then have a look in your contacts and see if they're there.
2. Have you updated your iTunes? Once you have, do this: plug the phone in to your computer. Look in iTunes' grey left hand side bar. (Let's pretend your phone's name is L's iPhone) Right click 'L's iPhone' and then click 'restore from backup'
I hope this works.
If it doesn't then that really sucks. But I guess we have to look at it as a 3rd world problem. That being said -- fingers and toes crossed for you.
