How To Get an iPhone from Verizon or Sprint to work with Metro PCS?
If I get an iPhone from Verizon or Sprint will I be able to use it with Metro PCS if I get it flashed? I live in the Los Angeles County and I want to get an iPhone but I'm with Metro.
So can someone please help me with getting an iPhone 4 from Verizon or Sprint to work with Metro PCS in the Los Angeles County? And how much will everything cost?
I've read online that only those two can work with it?
Your assumption is exactly opposite what the MetroPCS site states. According to their web site (listed in the sources) the only Verizon/Sprint iPhones supported are iPhone 5 models. The reason for this is that MetroPCS is now a GSM network. Verizon/Sprint use CDMA technology exclusive to their networks, and Apple has been supplying exclusive models for these carriers in the past. New Apple devices as well as many Android phones (including the not-listed iPhone 5S) are made with dual-technology antennas so they are compatible with Verizon/Sprint and the rest of the world (which is overwhelmingly GSM).
You stated you want an iPhone 4. Unfortunately, if you get one from Verizon/Sprint, it will *not* work with MetroPCS no matter how hard you try! Therefore, get one from AT&T, T-Mobile, or best yet, unlocked and contract-free. An iPhone 4S costs $450 new in such a condition at the Apple Store.
MetroPCS is now part of T-Mobile. Their plans are good values, especially because they include all taxes and fees and feature no contract, so you are free to switch plans whenever you want without charge. Their most inexpensive plan costs $40 per month and features unlimited talk, text, and data. That means you will not be billshocked for overages but you will be slowed down after a while. The $40 plan comes with 500MB of 4G data. It's $10 and $20 more a month for 2.5GB and unlimited 4G data, respectively.

- Possible to flash a sprint iphone 4s to metro pcs or use it on straighttalk? Wondering if there's any way to flash a sprint iphone 4s to metro pcs? I hear they are both cdma networks. Any info if it works with all things like texting, calling, and data? What about using it on straight talk? Can you just buy that mini sim card and pop it in? I've seen the slot on the sprint iphone 4s. Can anyone give me info on both services? Much appreciated.
- Metro pcs sim card on Sprint iPhone 6? Hi, I recently switched carriers and realized that my metro pcs sim card does not work with my old iPhone. I have another iPhone that is locked to Sprint, and I heard metro is just a service under Sprint. Will this card work in the phone?
