How to get Apple to replace my iPhone?

I dropped my phone in the toilet but i turned it off right away and didn't use it for a few days. I even put it in rice to dry. It works, I can feel the phone vibrate and it sounds off as well. The only problem is that the screen has lines on it and I can't seen the screen at all. I can still turn it off and on too. Is there anyway I can get a new iPhone replacement? I've checked the water damage indicator on my phone but it hasn't turned on. Can i just tell them that i dropped or something? I'm also still eligible for the warranty since its only been 5 months since I got my iPhone.

Warranty coverage is for defects in workmanship, not accidents caused by the user. Apple will not replace your phone.

The "Putting it in rice" stunt is an urban myth; it dries the outside but can't magically extract water from the interior & as long as the battery remained connected, the phone would be suffering ongoing damage due to electrolytic corrosion. (Turning off has no effect, the battery is still providing power to the circuit board).

Apples one year limited warranty does not cover accidental, cosmetic, or liquid damage or damage due to unauthorized modifications. If you dropped it into a pile of **** you better clean it real good. See if your phone provider warranty can cover it otherwise see if you can find a local electronics/video game stores that repairs phones and tablets.
