How to get my iphone 4 out of recovery mode loop?
I recently jailbreaked my sisters iphone 4 running ios 5.1.1 using absinthe after a while ios 6.0.1 came out and she told me to upgrade to ios6 so i just went to itunes and downloaded ios6 and upgraded, but when her phone rebooted it got stuck in recovery mode loop. What should i do to get it out?
Well, assuming you properly backed up the shsh blogs and APTickets from your 5.1.1 install you can just create a stitched.ipsw with redsn0w and downgrade to 5.1.1 and then rejailbreak.
But if you don't want to do that, or can't because you didn't back up the blogs when you had the chance, you could try "fix recovery" in either redsn0w or iPhone Umbrella.
Failing that, you could put it into DFU mode and then fire up itunes and it will start from scratch installing 6.01.
If you've been busy jailbreaking your hosts file might contain a redirect for the apple servers. Look at your hosts file and if there's an entry for apple.com, or gs.apple.com, or anything apple-related, put a "#" sign in front of it or delete it. If you're on a PC reboot, otherwise the change happens dynamically.
That's all I can think of for now, but there are lots of other things you could try if none of these work.
That happened to me too.unfortunately, you have to restore it. Its annoying and the jailbreak goes away so you will have to re-jailbreak it with an ios 6.0.1 jailbreak.that's the reason i don't jailbreak anymore

- Why is my iphone 5 stuck in a recovery mode loop? I dropped it in the toilet for about 2 second and then quickly pulled it out (i know it was stupid) but then i washed it off cause it was covered in pee.
