How to get my iPhone to play only the songs I've put on it?

I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 7. Ever since updating, I've had Christmas music playing every third song. I've never had the "show all music" option on, I don't subscribe to iTunes Match, and I've wiped my phone back to factory settings three times. I can't find any other options to turn off. Despite being on a fresh reset and only putting the ~300 songs I wanted to listen to on my phone, I'm still hearing 'God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen"!

I'm beyond frustrated. I've looked everywhere, but no one seems to be giving any answers that I haven't already tried. I JUST want my phone to play the songs I have loaded to it. Christmas is over.

Can anyone help me?

Added (1). My phone is not set up to allow youtube/internet to play unless it's the open window. I can see the songs I've put on, I can also see the songs that are downloading themselves from my iCloud. I'm hoping that I won't have to set up a playlist with all of my songs in it as a fake default music database. It defeats the purpose of trying to get my phone to work the way its supposed to.

Are you sure its not a youtube or internet video open, although thats unlikely.
Can you see the songs you have put on? Have you tried making a playlist of the songs you want?

  • Why won't songs play good on my iPhone 5 but play normal on iTunes? When I download music and import it to iTunes, They play fine and normal but as soon as i put them on my iPhone they sound scratchy or like if they were getting fast forwarded. I don't think it's my iPhone because I've put songs in it before but this just started happening today. What's the problem, How do i fix this?
  • Why can my iphone only play music with just the right bud/speaker on headphones? I've had the Iphone 4 for a bit now and recently i noticed that the left bud on one of my headphones don't work. I thought it was my headphones so i went out and bought a new pair. Only the right one works in those as well. I tried others too and then when the another person tries the same headphones on their ipod both work. What exactly is the problem and how can i fix it?

I also converted the files to almost every file type and got the same. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING! I'm so frustrated that I left android to try out an iphone and this is what I get. Any help would be very appreciated.
