How to get notified on twitter?

So say i'm following a youtuber. I want to know how can i get notifed when they tweet something if they arent following me or must they follow me. The notifications on my iphone

Go to their page & there's gonna be a button that has options like DM, block, ect.press "turn on notifications" & you'll get the notifications for that person.

  • Will person be notified if I block them from seeing my snapchat story? So yeah I have an iPhone 6 which allows me to custom block people from seeing my snapchat story. I want to do this one day for someone temporarily seeing they will get very jealous with what I'll be doing that day and cbf taking **** from them. Will they know I blocked them from seeing my story, I mean I'm going to add them back after 24 hours so it's not forever
  • Twitter SMS & Twitter App Mobile Notifications? I have and Iphone 4, currently up to date, etc etc. When I turn on mobile notifications on twitter I receive both the SMS/404-04 text notification and a push notification from my twitter mobile app. I would prefer to receive the notifications from my app only and not SMS. It would be easier to distinguish tweet from normal texts. Plus The SMS notifications leave my texts list messy. I can't figure out how to do this anywhere. Solutions?

And i use twitter.before i got my ohone i just had the twitter notifications to the people i was subscribed to sent to my phone. But i still use that but it sends me notifications too directly from twitter and i just want my texts. But how do i turn off the notifications without turning off my texts.
  • If I close the mail app on iPhone 5S, can I still be notified of received e-mails? I usually try to close all apps not in use from my phone to save more battery, but I always leave the mail app running in fear that if I close it, I won't be notified when I get new e-mails. Can I close it and still be notified or not? Also, same question for Snapchat. If I close out Snapchat, can I still be notified when people send me snaps?
