How to get rid of GPS on my iPhone 4?

I have a gps on my iPhone 4 that I don't need anymore. My brother put one on my phone buy using iCloud I think and then he showed me on the computer that that's how you can track me and it showed my location and my contact list through the computer and everything anyway I don't need the gps anymore so I deleted my iCloud account but is the gps deleted and is all my information like access to my contact list on the computer in iCloud deleted? If not how do I delete my gps?

Remove the app.

GPS is a hardware feature on the phone that you can't remove. But if you remove iCloud and turn off find my iPhone, the only other things on your phone that could be tracking you using your phone's GPS would be apps which you can uninstall or turn off. One example of an app like that would be Find my Friends, but there are a lot of other ones too.

  • What's the best GPS map app for iPhone? I need a GOOD map where I could mark the start point and destination and it would guide me where to go. I've used the iOS map and Google maps and both got me lost!
  • Should I get rid of my iPhone and get a basic phone? I've had an iPhone for 2 years, and my contract runs out 9/2/12, should I get a 4s or a Pantech Jest 2? I want to save my dad money, and all I really use my iPhone for is music and Facebook. My friends say I should stick with my iPhone, but I don't know… Share your input, thanks
  • Is there any way I can see on my iPhone if there's a GPS tracker? My parents split up but they still share the same verizon account. My mom and I were pretty suspicious that my father has been reading our texts through the account and driving by our apartment complex. Last night I went to my friends to feed their cat and as I was walking out I caught him driving by with absolutely no excuse to be there. I feel like I'm being followed wherever I go now, so is there any way I can check that he has a tracker on my phone?
  • If I put my iPhone in airplane mode with Wi-Fi on, will the GPS work? I'm traveling abroad and would like to geotag my photos, but I don't want to incur data charges. If I turn on Wi-Fi but leave the iPhone in airplane mode, will the GPS work properly?
