How to get rid of iPhone text timestamp?

I want to get rid of the timestamps that show up sometimes on text messages for my iPhone 4S.
The ones that show up on my end, so when I take a screencap, there's no timestamp.

I'm sorry but you can't disable the timestamps on the iPhone normally. If you are jailbroken, you can add this tweak called xMessages. It basically adds more features to the Messages app. It integrates contact photos and adds timestamps for all messages. Either feature can be toggled from the settings application under xMessages. It has an option to hide all timestamps but you must be jailbroken. If not, then there's no other way
