How to get text messages from my iphone to my computer?
I have text messages from my Iphone that I want to transfer to my computer, so I can delete them from my Iphone but still be able to go back to my computer if I need to in the future. If this does this automatically when I back it up, how do I access them? I have an Iphone 5 with a Dell PC, and the text messages are not I messages if that matters.
Well, if you want to save the texts in image format, go to the text on your phone and preform this task:
Press & Hold the sleep button on the phone, while you are doing that, within two seconds, press the home button. A camera sound will occur and your screen will go white, a photo of what the screen looked like will be saved to your phone and viewable in 'Photos'.
From here you can do 1 or 2 things.
1: E-mail the photo's to yourself, once you get to your computer, download the attachment photo from the Email.
On your phone, you will be greeted with a notification to how large you want the photo to be. For best quality choose the one that says 'Actual size' when asked so.
2: Connect your phone to your PC and get the images from there. (You may need to download iPhoto to your computer if you can't get it from the phone directly.)
If you want to save this in text format, you can go to your 'Start' on your computer, then search for a program called 'Notepad' from there you can enter text and ONLY text, so you will have to type date and time as well if you want those included.
Try Decipher TextMessage. It's a great little program that we use at our office to save all our text messages to computer (Windows or Mac) for archiving and safekeeping.

- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- View old iphone text messages on computer? So there's a specific set of messages from October 2012 i want to read between my current boyfriend and I. He had an iphone and I had a regular non-smartphone type phone, so they were texts, not imessages. A few months back he switched mobile carriers and pawned his iPhone, so we don't have the phone, Is there any way to find the messages, using his apple ID or anything like that?
- Is there a way for me to see my text messages from my iPhone 5c on my computer? So my screen for my iPhone 5c is really messed up and i can't unlock it anymore or do anything with it really, so I have to get a new phone, but there are a few text messages that are kind of important that I'd really like to keep and if there was a way to access them through a computer that would be perfect.
