How to Get Voicemails Back when you switch numbers?
Hi! I have an Iphone 5s. When my parents passed away, I got a new number because I was on their plan. I just noticed that all my voicemails are gone. I've tried everything I could think of to get them back, and nothings working! Do you guys have any ideas on how I could get those voicemails of my parents voices back? Or know where those voicemails are normally stored to try and find a way to get them back?! Please and thank you.
Text messages and iMessages are stored in an SQLite database deep in the filesystem of the iPhone. So yes, they take up storage space on your phone and not the SIM card.
They are stored in the old phone not the new one.
You'll have to move those files to a PC.
Best luck.

How long ago did you cancel that old number?
The only thing I can think to do is to reactivate that old number, see if the voicemail will reappear on your iphone, then record them to another device.
If you get someone that wants to work with you, they will reactivate the number, waive the reconnection fee, and cancel the number when you are done. I do not expect anyone will help you do this, unless you ask to speak to a manager, sit down somewhere private, look that person in the eyes, and tell that person what your plan is (and why).
They are not obligated to assist you, they are there for SALES, not for SMILES. So, if you do get someone that will help you do this, please find some way to repay that kindness.
What you are asking of these people is a challenge; a sales rep will resent you if you try to guilt them into doing this for you because they are paid to sell. You are asking for a favor, so please be tactful. If it can be done, you will need to mind-ninja someone that is not a commissioned agent. That is why I want you to get ahold of one of the assistant managers. Compliment that person first. Smile. Cry. Be genuine. And if that person offers to help you, no matter the result, please show your appreciation by giving some type of gift; coffee is okay, money is not. Home baked goods are nice, a gift certificate is better.
- Will my voicemails be backed up on to my new iPhone 5 from my old iPhone? I had a problem with my old iPhone 5 after having it for 4 months. I took it to apple to get it fixed or "replaced" and they did give me a new one. Anyway, they told me that the battery life and freezing problem that i was having with the phone could be because of my software and they told me not to back it up. The problem is that I had old voicemails on that phone and I don't have the old one anymore. Is there anyway that I could get those voicemails back or even just one.
- On iPhones can you block numbers from calling you and if that s yes how? One of my old friends who I hate now is constantly calling me and it's super annoying and I hate her. Can someone tell me how to block her from calling from my iPhone or something?
