How to improve my English grade?

My grandparents promised me to get an iPhone 5s if I get a 95 or above on all my exams. I got a 96 on both history and math but I got a 86 on English. I want to raise that to a 95 so next exam (May) I can get all 95<. And that phone and good grades. Can you please give me some good study tips or ways to improve? I'm in 7th grade English I by the way and I do do all my homework for those of you wondering if I do it or not.

It's a little bit difficult to ace essays. I mean with a language, you can't get a 100 like a math exam. There's no right or wrong, you have to please your examiner. I say read alot to improve your grammer and increase your imagination. There's really not much to do with a language unfortunately.

English: BEST way to score high is to BE ORIGINAL. Don't use ideas that pop up in class, at most you can infuse those ideas into your OWN ideas. Teachers LOVE it when you give them ORIGINAL yet INTERESTING ideas. You don't have to be perfect with your thing, just be unique and thoughtful, thats what English is about.

In my school, it is impossible for anyone to get above 90 in english really, unless your writing is perfect with no conceptions.
but i don't have an idea about you, i suggest you read more books and increase your creative abilities, if you have comprehension, grammar, essay writing and questions regarding a fiction book in your paper…
for comprehension make sure you read all the questions twice and analyse it in your head and form the answers in your head before you write them down.
for grammar, practice is the best thing to get you going, ask your teacher for worksheets and you can even get worksheets and practice papers online.
if you have a storybook to read and get questions regarding them on the test, make sure you read the book and write your own summary on it while studying, it will help as you are challenging yourself to interact with the text in the book, it assures understanding and you'll be able to retain the main concepts and information in your brain a lot longer.
when you write stories or any kind of essays, clear your head first and brain storm before you write, thing about all the points you need to include in your piece of writing
