I used iphonunlocker.com it cost about $10 but was well worth it instead of using junky software that didn't work.

Use Limerain. And jailbreak should never cost anything. Scotts suggestion is about unlocking where as your question is about jailbreaking.

Unlocking is a different matter, which will cost some money. Just so you know the difference in case you're asking us the wrong question, jailbreaking is the act of unlocking your phones features (so you can customise and exploit it like it were an Android phone), where as unlocking is the act of allowing you to put any sim card in to the iphone and it will receive signal to text, make calls, go online via 3g etc.
