How to leave group message on iPhone iOS 8?

I've googled this and the answers don't work. All there's is the "Do Not Disturb" option for group chat which is NOT the same thing as leaving. DND only silences the ringer and vibration for that chat, but notifications still appear. When I click on the chat, go to details, scroll all the way down, the only option is Do Not Disturb… So, how do I actually leave the chat? Did Apple have a derp moment and not include a leave option or what?

Thats like asking how do you stop others from messaging you? You either allow them to message you, or you block their number.

  • Should I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 or leave it on iOS 5? I'm currently using iOS 5.1.1 because I didn't want to lose google maps (which I use a lot) to shoddy apple maps but I've seen a google maps app on the app store now so do you think I should update to iOS 6? And what are the benefits?
  • On the iphone, how do you take yourself out of a group message? My friend added me into a group message with 8 other people but I'm not interested in the convo. I keep deleting the it but everyone someone says something my phone keeps going on. How can I take myself out of the group message?
  • IPhone group message problem Okay, so for some reason my group message is messing up with this one group. I was put in it and it shows each person individually in separate message threads. I can't even reply because only one person would get the message and not the group. All my other group messages are in groups and they are perfectly fine.
  • IMessage group message? (iPhone)? I see a lot of other peoples messages, but it almost always gets a new text as if it is from a new sender, it does not remain in the group folder. Also, when i send a message in the group message, the text always shows up in green, not blue as if it was using message. Any tips?
