How to make sure syncing my iPhone doesn't remove content?

I haven't synced my iPhone is several months, but I have downloaded a lot of apps and podcasts from my phone since then. Now I would like to get some songs from my iTunes on my Mac and put it on my phone, but without removing the new apps and podcasts to match where the computer is. How can I do this?

It won't remove anything, as long as you have space the songs will just sync over. The only time it will erase things is if you've never synced to that computer, as you have previously done so, this won't be an issue
