How to play Final Fantasy 1?

I really want to play this old classic. It was a little before my time and I never got around to beating it. I don't have an old nintendo, but I have a psp, ps3, pc, and Iphone. I know that they have different versions of the game on these platforms, but my question is what version is the best? I've read some reviews and they all seem to have some cons. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Get it emulated.

The PS3, regular phone, and PC NES Emulated version hold to the true form. The experience is slightly low, the money comes slightly quick, but the prices are slightly cheaper. MP is derived by the spell level. (you can cast 5 level 1 spells, and only 3 level 2 spells and 2 level 3 spells MP) This allows spell management and allows you to cast spells that won't effect the MP of other tier spells, though it also means you have more of a limit to use those spells.

The Iphone, PsP and GBA emulated, are the newer based combat, the prices of the equipment are more steep, and you gain less money, but you gain experience a lot faster. Also they go with a Mana Pool where all spells use up the the main mana. Which is the reverse of the Original version, allows less limits to cast higher or lower spells, but will make it if you cast a lot of low spells this will make you lose chances to use high level spells.

so up to you to play which you like more, faster experience, or better gold upkeep?
