How to prevent any damage after an iPhone gets wet?

I accidentally drop my iPhone 5s in the sink and I dried it and I put it in a bag with rice on it and now it does work but the only problem I have now is when I turn it off, it does have battery but it won't turn on and I can only turn it on by charging it. What can I do to fix this problem?

Water causes permanent damage inside your phone, which can't be reversed with rice or anything else. You need a new phone.

  • Will my waterproof iPhone get water damage if I wet it while it has a tiny crack? I have an iPhone 8 which is waterproof but I have a very TINY crack on the screen, you can't see it unless you look for it. I only noticed it was there because I felt it when scrolling on it. My question is, could I still get my phone wet or will it break because the water will go through the crack? I used to love taking it into the ocean with me and I'd like to take it with me while I go tubing.

  • Is there any app for tracking my iphone if it gets stolen? Read Details? Like if someone steals my iphone at school i can go on the website and track it, find EXACTLY where it is so i can go to the place and get it back? Oh i do have Find My iPhone on, but one time when my dad took it to the store and didn't come back i got on the icloud web and to see where my iphone was to see where my dad was and it was worthless!
  • IPhone 4 gets barely any Wi-Fi My iPhone 4 has been getting very little Wi-Fi reception, lately, and I have no clue why. Everything else on my network gets full bars throughout the house (thanks to a range-extender) however, my iPhone will *literally* get 30-40 feet of reception, before dropping off and going to 3G. :/ please help!
