How to prevent stripped screws?
I remember about a year ago I attempted to replace my charger in my iphone 4. It was successful but I messed something up withy audio. So I tried to go back, but my screws were stripped, I couldn't unscrew it at all. This week is trying to replace something inside of a 3ds (The analog stick) what steps can I take to ensure I don't get stuck with stripped screws?
To get the stripped screws out, take a rubber band and place over the screw. Use your screwdriver and press hard to unsrew. Sometimes this method will work and sometimes it won't.
To prevent a screw from stripping, make sure you are using the correct size screwdriver. If you see the screw is starting to strip, stop unscrewing right away. Don't force it
- Stuck iPhone 4 lock button! Stuck/Stripped screws Okay so, I've had this stupid panda case on my phone and it jammed my lock button. It still works if you push super hard from the side, but no clicking sound. I saw how to fix it by opening my phone up but the screws won't come out no matter what! I tried a screwdriver alone, with duct tape, rubber band, double sided tape, everything! I don't have a warranty on my phone, and I'm looking for a super inexpensive (>$5) way to fix it, any ideas?
