How to remove a (hover) hint from Javascript code in dreamwaver?

I created a website for college. And for my navigation bar i ahve a similar 1 to apple. So daytime i click view in Internet Explorer, the buttons and everything work BUT when i hover over the link and little pop up hint come up just under the mouse button on the left. Its says "iMac" "iPhone" "i… ". Even though i have renamed my button as home, contact us etc as you normally would have

I don't use dreamweaver (or anything other than a text editor) to author html for exactly reasons like this (it takes away the control you should have over your pages). I think you may be able to fix it as follows:

cursor hints are usually determined by the title attribute of the element.

View the code and find the tag for the element in question. Somewhere within the tag it may say:

title="iMac… "

Just delete the title attribute and its value (the quoted text after it). Leave everything else the same in the tag.

It is possible that the 'hover hint' is not a normal tool-tip-text but instead an unwanted html element inserted by dreamweaver. If, so, it will be triggered, probably, by an onmouseover attribute within the tag with some code that makes a hidden division become visible. Again, the solution is to delete the entire attribute.

A final option is that the hint is coded within a style. Open the style sheet and look for styles for the affected element. There may be a pseudoclass of the form element: hover. Just delete it.

Time spent learning html to author your own pages in a text editor will save much more time and trouble than these programmes are worth!
