How to remove cracked apps from iTunes?
How can I permanently delete the cracked apps off a friends iTunes? Since he got his iphone 5 he has not been jailbroken and prefers it this way. Everytime he does a backup it tries to install the cracked apps and obviously fails. All I want to do is delete all the cracked apps from his iTunes and computer. But I can't tell which are cracked and which are not, there are lots. I can tell a few but I want to mass delete.
Unfortunately, I don't think you can delete the apps from iTunes. I think cracked apps work the same way as purchased apps… In that for the purchased apps, they'll always show up in your purchases. I think the only thing you can do is maybe go to settings in iTunes or on the phone and go to "devices" to change the backup settings. You may also have to deselect the apps if you can… I know that I've tried to delete apps from my download list, but they're there permanently.
You may also have to make your friend a new Apple ID, clear iTunes and reload everything that he wants to keep… You will also have to change the Apple ID on his phone from the one he already has. Although, I don't know what this will do to his paid apps.
