How do you repair or remake a firmware for a iPhone 3G iOS 4.2.1?

Put it in dfu mode then restore it with itunes to put it back to stock… If it was jailbroken then rejailbreak it… If it wasn't jailbroken and you don't know how to put it in dfu here is a link on how to put it in dfu
after dfu hook it up to itunes and if you did dfu right it should say found iphone in recovery mode click ok then click restore
