How to report one of the top students in my class for academic dishonesty?

So we're you going into junior year and she's one of the top students in our class but I caught her all this year using her iPhone during all of our tests and even our finals! So do I just call the school? Do I need proof? Can I stay anonymous? What would her punishment be? Thanks in advance… And BTW our school has a policy about academic dishonesty and that we should report it when we see it

This person has harmed the entire educational community, including you. You should definitely tell someone in authority at the school (it doesn't matter who; they'll direct you to the right person if they're not the right person). It's up to them, and ultimately the school's academic-honesty board, to decide whether the information you give them is sufficient to lodge a case against the student, or what constitutes "proof."

If you are concerned about staying anonymous, ask about that first.

Don't call anyone. Go yourself to the principal. Report what you saw and that you're telling him because of the academic dishonesty policy. It is up to the principal how he wants to handle it. Of course when asked, the student will deny that she was on her cell phone. So it will be your word against hers.
