Is a teacher allowed to take things from students?

I was at school sitting in the office waiting for my mom to pick me up for an orthodontist appointment. I was signed out of school for the day btw. After 20 minutes of waiting I got my iPhone out to text her and a teacher told me to put it away. I told him I'm checked out of school and waiting on my mom. He said he didn't care. He grabbed my arm an tried to take my phone. He was at that point hurting me so I kicked his nuts. I told him I was going to have him arrested. Can I?

Yes he can take things away from you. He can't Can't hurt you tho. You could sue
Him

YES. Youre signed out of school, he has no right to touch your belongings, let alone touch you ever, if he hurts you or not, he could get in major trouble.

No! He assulted you, Don't take this to your head teacher as he/she WILL stick up for the teacher that assaulted you. Although it could be argued that you shouldn't have had your phone out but there's no argument whether he should've touched you at all.

I feel like this is a troll question as you'd probably be whining about being expelled for assaulting a teacher right about now if this were real.

If this IS real (which I doubt), as long as you are on school premises, you are under obligation of following the rules, signed in or not. If you handbook says you're not allowed to use your iPhone, he had every right to take the phone from you. As for the arm hurting thing, it's a he said/he said situation and probably won't hold down too well when it comes time to prosecute you for kicking him in the nuts.
