How can I reset my iPhone without deleting the existing applications?
You can't do that.
I reset mine the other day and all of my apps were still there, I had to delete them manually. However if you do delete them just go to App Store and updates and they will all be there ready to download
Follow these step:
Reset Menu Option:
1: Tap "Settings" on the iPhone's home screen.
2: Touch "General." Scroll to the bottom of the screen and then tap "Reset."
3: Tap "Reset All Settings." A confirmation window appears on the screen.
4: Touch "Reset All Settings" to reset your settings without deleting your data.
Reset:
1: Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button on the top of the iPhone.
2: Press and hold the "Home" button for 10 seconds while continuing to hold the "Sleep/Wake" button.
3: Release the "Sleep/Wake" and "Home" buttons when the Apple logo appears on the screen. The phone turns off and on again when the phone is reset.
- Will replacing my existing laptop hard drive affect my iTunes/iPhone? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but with me possibly losing my data from the main 2 devices I use in life I want to be sure. I've made a system image using windows 7's built-in backup software and will be replacing my faulty hard drive with a larger capacity new one. Seeing as it's a full system image it should save all the iTunes program data, settings, media (songs/videos) and iPhone backup shouldn't it?

I thought that if you have a contract then you get it cheaper, so can do this?
