How to restore jailbroken iPhone 4s? - 1

I'm getting absolutely frustrated with this. I'm unable to figure this out!

I've tried updating to iOS7 directly from the iPhone.

I've tried to restore using iTunes, but always getting error messages, if it's not one error message, it's another.

I've downloaded a million IPSW files in order to "downgrade" while restoring via iTunes.

I've tried TinyUmbrella to kick my iPhone out of recovery mode, and unfortunately, unsuccessful.

I've tried redsn0w to restore with an SHSH from TinyUmbrella and restoring with the numerous IPSWs I've downloaded.

Currently my phone is stuck on recovery mode, I've tried DFU mode, even tried using the recovery fix on redsn0w.

NOTHING IS WORKING FOR ME.

Try to reinstall itunes and use a different wire.

Why can't I restore my jailbroken iPhone 4? I jailbroke my iphone 4 using redsn0w 0.9.10.b6. This was a semi tethered jailbreak and i have turned my phone on and off. I now want to completely remove the jailbreak by restoring my iphone. But iTunes brings up an error- 'firmware not compatible'. I was wondering how i can get past this? (by the way i'm trying to remove it because it no longer works when i download the jailbreak tool- as i deleted it ages ago)
What happens if i restore my jailbroken iphone? I have a jailbroken iphone 3gs and am currently using it with straight talk, if i restore it can i still use it with straight talk? What would happen to it?
What can I do to restore my Unlocked & Jailbroken iPhone 3g? I recently got the phone. I tried to erase everything on the phone while it was near death, and I think it died while doing so. It then went into recovery mode. I tried to put it into iTunes to restore it, but that keeps failing too. The phone has a custom firmware, and I have no idea where or how to get the firmware to properly restore the phone to. Any ideas?
Safe to restore iPhone 5 with jailbroken backup? I had been wondering whether it's safe to restore my iPhone 5 from a jailbroken backup. I just sold my iPhone 4s and backed it up recently while it was jailbroken. Has anyone successfully restored from a jailbroken backup on the iPhone 5 yet? Please let me know.
