How to restore my iPhone 3G?
So I pushed delete all content and settings on my jailbroken iPhone 3G, it is now showing the apple logo for about 3 hours (it flashes away quick every 20 minutes or so).Is this normal and if not, how do I fix it? My macbook pro does not find the iPhone, and my powerbutton is broken. Apple experts please help me?
Not normally. Try Hard Reset iPhone.
To do a Reset, press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake or On/Off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- If you disabled FindMyiPhone to restore your device, will the app be enabled again after the restore? A few weeks ago I upgraded to the iPhone SE and I restored the data from my iPhone 4s onto it. (I had to disable FindMyiPhone in the process). Little did I know that it would be lost/stolen 2 weeks later. Really need to know if FindMyiPhone would be enabled because I want to know if I still have any hope at all finding it. Thanks. I tried the app already… Says it's offline. Been waiting since.
- If I restore my iPhone will it restore other devices using the same apple ID? My mum using the same apple ID as me an is worried that if I restore my phone then it will delete all of her photos and stuff to. Our phones are kind of linked through the ID but that's all.

So if I restore it and iOS 8.4 is now on my phone, will I be able to downgrade to iOS 8.3? But I need accurate answers. Because if I don't this and I can't downgrade then it'll suck!
