How to restore my new iPhone with my old iPhone's information?
I bought a 4S recently. I backed up my old 3GS on itunes and then plugged my new 4S into intunes and started set up. It warned me that I should update to IOS 6 first so I set it up as a new phone and did that. When it had finished, it had all of my apps on it but none of my old settings such as email accounts, texts or imessages. It did have contacts. Is that normal? I should also mention that I used to belong to one network and bought this phone from a different network provider and requested a pac code which has not finalised yet. I'm still using the old phone so I don't confuse anyone with my temporary number and my 4S is on airplane mode.
How do I get my old texts etc.onto my new phone? Also, how will I know when the pac code has worked and the old phone won't work and the new one will have my number?
I sorted out switching my father-in-laws stuff from his iPhone 3GS to his 4S and I'm pretty certain it transferred his pictures, contacts and apps but not messages or email account settings. Was almost a year ago though so I'm not totally sure.
- Synced wrong ipod information into new iphone? I just got a new iPhone today and i plugged into my computer and opened itunes to sync all of the things i had on my iPod touch to my phone. My sister has an iPod also and all her things loaded on to my phone by accident. How do i take all of her stuff back off and sync all my iPods stuff on my phone? I had my contacts set before i synced and now they are all gone and it uploaded my sisters contacts. Is there anyway i can undo all that was just loaded and sync my stuff on instead?
- Restore new iPhone with content from old iPhone? My old iPhone 4 got wet and no longer functions. I now have another iPhone 4, however it used to belong to my mother but she doesn't use it anymore. Is there a way to restore the data from my old iPhone into my new iPhone? Not just the music, but everything that was backed up.
- I bought a used IPhone 5c and I tried to restore it but I don't know the ICloud information? I just bought a used 5c and I was going to restore it. I didn't know you had to have the old ICloud account to restore it. I don't know the information and neither does the previous owner. What can I do?
- How to unsync/restore new iPhone from old device? I'm pretty new to using apple besides from my ipod touch. I got the new iPhone 5c yesterday after connecting to my pc to load some tunes somehow it accedenly synced with my old device iPod touch setting and stuff and now its in the format of my touch. Everything has loaded just as my ipod the device name etc. How to i change it back to the default iphone and have the two devices run separate
