How to return an item from Amazon?

So I ordered an iPhone 4 from Amazon and when I ordered it, the details said that the camera was messed up, and had scratches. Fully aware of this I ordered the phone anyway. But when I got it the home button was messed up and Iv'e done everything to fix. Looks like I can't. So Iv'e decided to return it. I looked on Amazon and It said I can get a full refund if I return the item within 30 days and If it is not opened. I opened and I want a full refund. Is that possible? It didn't say the home button was messed up in the description. Also I emailed the seller and they said they will process the return request. What does that mean. I need their info to ship it back to them. When do I get that? Where do i get it? Will I get a full refund for the opened package? Its perfect nothings happened to it since i've opened it… It was just the home button didn't work at all when i opened it. I'm sort of new to Amazon.

You need to make a request to return the phone with Amazon, they will send the request to the seller, the seller can approve it or not approve it. If they do not approve you can open a A to Z claim with Amazon. If the seller approves the request Amazon will supply a link for a shipping label. You as the buyer are responsible for the shipping and the safe return of the package.

About 40 days ago, I bought an iPhone 5 on Amazon from a "reputable seller" (not a retail store like best buy or a big chain), yesterday I my phone got stolen, filed a police report and everything since someone stole my wallet as well. My concern is, will chase (slate card) WILL give me their purchase protection benefit even though the item was bought on Amazon? The item was new and below 500 USD, will they reimburse me?

  • Return item bought off of EBay? I bought a keyboard attachment for my iPhone a few months ago. I received it and wasn't satisfied, so I returned it with proper postage and such to the return address which was in China. It has been about 2 months, and I have not received my refund nor have I gotten an email from the seller saying that they have received the item. Is there some way I can figure out where that package is? And if I can't find it, am I still able to get my refund?

Thanks for opening my question, I'm curious because I used an app called letgo and sold an iPhone 7 plus for $300. I agreed with the buyer if he showed proof of sending money via moneygram he agreed he would tell me the reference number after it delivered to him. Well it delivered and I have no contact. I have his address, if I report this too the police will they prosecute it?
