You can't. Instead, just upload them to your computer.
Most phones do not support gif files. If your phones does, it should allow you to save gif files just as you'd save normal photos.
I have an iPhone and know how to do this.
You can't do it from the tumblr app though, you have to use safari.
So go to the person who reblogged it's blog on safari and tap on gif you want, then hold down your finger on the gif until a menu shows up and hit "save image"
You can then send the gif on iMessage and it will move, BUT it won't move in your photos folder.

- Iphone Tumblr app won't save photos to camera roll? A little after I downloaded ios 7, pictures from the Tumblr app would sometimes save and sometimes wouldn't save to my pictures. For gifs it still shows up the "save to camera roll" option but it doesn't, for stills it doesn't show at all with the only option being "copy". Has anyone else had this problem?
