How to save photos from the Internet to the iPhone?

I know that you have to tap the screen (on the photo you want to save) and then hold it until the context menu appears where it will say "Save Image" or whatever, because I have done this numerous times before. Though, for some reason, when I do this to my work schedule that someone posted to Facebook (and that I want, instead, saved in my phone's album) I tap and hold yet nothing happens or the highlight will appear for me to "copy" the image. Then I open the image in Safari and try the process again. Yet again, nada. I don't want to copy the image because when I try to paste the image in messages or anywhere other than in an email message, the format of the calendar is jumbled up, which is useless. This whole process is frustrating me now. Someone please help!

Could you just screenshot it and save it that way… Crop out the bits you don't want? That's what I do sometimes…

  • Why does my iphone no longer save photos to my camera roll? Ever since I had updated my phone to ios 6, i noticed that it no longer saved photos to my camera roll. If I take a picture on Instagram, it will not automatically save it to my camera roll as it used to do, nor does it save any image I want to save from Facebook. It will, however, still save a photo that I take from the phone's camera. It somehow only won't save photos when it is taken through another app or from another source. What can I do to fix this?
