How to save twitter gifs or phhhotos on iPhone and/or Mac?

So I took some phhhotos, and I saved them, but never posted them. I was trying to post em on Instagram, but they don't appear as a video. On the other hand, on twitter I have the option for posting them as a gif.

I tried sending them to me via DM and saving them on my Mac, but it doesn't save as a gif, instead it saves as a video of one second…

pretty please, help

Since you told nothing about the Mac, I will assume it is a new one.

You said "and I saved them" so tell us the file extension for that phhhhhhhoto that you saved. Also, make it clear if you are asking how to have an animated GIF, a non-animated GIF or an MP4 video as the final result.

Select the share arrow below any PHHHOTO and hit SAVE GIF
Tap the DOWN ARROW in the top left corner of any DRAFT

PHHHOTOs saved to your camera roll as GIFs are animated, they just don't animate in Apple's Camera Roll. But share them in a txt or email or on Twitter
