How to save up $5000 within three months? I'm saving up for a car?

I'm 19 years old, I go to school full time, I took the summer off to save up $5000 for my vehicle, and for school too I do have a full time job as a sales associate and I just need help because I've been trying to save up for my vehicle for over a year now, and I have a shopping problem, I also suddenly joined Mary Kay business just to get a little bit of money there. I do have confidence in myself that I can do it, I'm just running out of ideas on what can keep my mind on the prize. Perhaps a app for my iPhone to keep track of my money. I don't know, can anyone help thank you!

Do you really need a $5,000 car?
You can get a used car that would work for you for less than that.

The Mary Kay thing won't bring in that much money.
The 'shopping problem' thing doesn't help either.

You can keep track of your money on paper. You don't need an app for your phone to do that.

You basically just have to stop buying unnecessary things. Save all your money. I really doubt that a sales associate job can earn you $5,000 in only three months. (Plus you say you have 'tried' to save up for a year. Something else always comes up that you 'need' to buy, right?)

I'd say change your saving goal to something a little more realistic, like $2,000.
You can find a working car for less than that. It may not be the pretty and fancy $5,000 car, but as a former auto detail shop owner, I can tell you that with a little elbow grease, you can make a used car look nearly brand-new again.
