How to send messages from iPad to iPhone?

And from iPhone to iPad? My mum just got an iPhone and we want to send messages to each other. When she sends me a message, I get an email instead of a message. It says this:

"Hello,

Here's a picture message you've been sent from (her mobile number).

You can send a message back from your mobile phone. But don't reply to this email."

And when I try to send her a message, it says:

"Not Delivered"

1. Send an email
2. Go to the AppStore and select Skype
3. Go to the AppStore and select any other messaging app you fancy

Use iMessage.

  • What use is an ipad or ipad mini to someone with an iphone and macbook? I'm thinking of getting an ipad mini or ipad 2 for someone who already has an iphone 5 and macbook pro. I don't know how useful it will be since they are not likely to use it outside of their home and i'll be getting the non 3g version so it won't be much use when they take it out anyway.

  • I've been using an iPhone charger to charge my iPad have I damaged the iPad? Iv been charging my iPad with my iPhone charger to charge my iPad as I thought there was no difference between them and I could keep the iPad charger as a spare if I miss placed my iPhone charger but I read up that using the wrong charger could mess up the battery if been using the iPhone charger since I have got it iv had it for 5 months from new but today it seem to be taken to long to charge I'm now using the charger that came with the iPad and see how that goes
  • I can send text messages from my iPhone but can't receive messages? I have an iPhone 5, and i was texting my friends (who also have iPhones) and my messages send to them as text messages (not iMessages) but their texts don't come through to me. I have a macbook air and have my phone number hooked up to messages, so i can receive the messages there, but not my actual phone.
