How to skip SIM activation on my locked iPhone 5S?

I have an iPhone 5S from the US and I believe it's locked by Anatel. I live here in the Philippines. I just deleted all the data on my iPhone and suddenly need to bypass the SIM Activation.

They say I need a SIM card but the problem is that I can't put a SIM Card as the phone doesn't support it. How will I bypass the SIM Activation then?

I'm not looking forward to go to the Apple Store, please help!

Try calling an Apple store. Sounds like you will need to get the phone unlocked, but if the carrier you wish to use it on is GSM, you will need to buy a new phone.

You can't skip that. It is a phone at the end of the day & it requires SIM activation.

You have two options -

1. Contact the carrier the phone is locked to and request to have it unlocked to work with any carrier

or

2. Borrow a SIM from a friend or family and use it to bypass the activation, then you're free to remove it and use the phone like normal.
