How to start learning acoustic guitar?
I'm planning to learn the acoustic guitar, but I have trouble getting in the right direction. Sadly, I don't have enough money for guitar classes, so the internet is my only option. Anyways, any suggestions or tips/warnings/supplies I need? To help me on my instrumental journey? (By the way, I already have a guitar-- Jasmine by Takamine? I don't know if that's a proper learning guitar for beginners like me, but my father had gotten it and it was just sitting in the attic. Only recently he got it tuned-- maybe a few months ago so I don't know if I tune it again?)
YouTube tutorials work for some people, just make sure to search how to play guitar, because searching for a specific song only helps you learn that one song.
Answer my question?
Learn several ways of checking you are playing in tune and of tuning. It can take a while to develop an ear for what is right.
Try using video guitar lessons from sites like TocarGuitar YouTube, Songsterr, and ultimate Guitar
A Jasmine is a good and proper beginner's guitar. As for tuning you should really check if your guitar is in tune every time you play it. There are plenty of online tuners that give you the audio for the correct tuning that you have to match your guitar to using your own ear. For some people this can be hard and take a lot of developing. Otherwise you might want to buy a tuner like a Snark that tells you when you're in tune. I think there's also an iphone app that does this. Then look up the basic chords, A-G, online and maybe ask a friend who plays or watch a youtube instruction to make sure you're doing them right. Once you've got some of these basic chords down and you've become a little familiar with the instrument look up some songs that are easy enough for a beginner. I suggest you choose songs you enjoy. I also really suggest you develop your ear by listening to songs and trying to figure them out without looking up the chords. After that it's really just practice a lot, learn some new techniques here and there, and challenge yourself often so it doesn't become stale. Eventually maybe get an instructor when you can afford it, but most of all have fun.
This is your best option. Justin Sandercoe has great lessons that take you step by step as a beginner. They are free also. Do not use youtube tutorials. These are fine for learning songs and techniques once you get the basics down, but not the way to learn guitar as a beginner.

- What's the best way to learning Objective-C for developing iPhone apps? C/C++ first? From where? How long will this take for a relatively simple app (somewhat like a workout logger application)?
- What language should I start with to start developing iOS apps? If I want to develop iPhone apps, should I learn Python first or just go straight to objective C or learn something else? I have 0 programming skills and have only done some web development. I have a Mac and Xcode.
- Speaker help! (Acoustic Audio GX-350)? So I bought these speakers from eBay, http://www.ebay.com/...0552581662 not knowing I need a receiver to play music from it. I'm now stuck with these and I don't want to spend more money buying a receiver. Can someone please explain to me if there's another way to play music from these speakers? The only thing I really want to do with these speakers is connect my iPhone to play music from it.
- Should I get an Acoustic Guitar or an IPhone 4? My mum asked me if I want an acoustic guitar or an IPhone 4 for Christmas and I don't know which one I should get. I already have an iPod touch, a mobile phone and a computer. So what should I go with? And if I got a guitar I would probably get into singing.
