How to stop a text to my iPhone from being also sent to my iPad?

Every time I send an iMessage, it always says I'm sending it from my email address instead of my phone. I want to stop that, I just want it to say it was sent from my phone number! How do I do that?

Go to your iPhone
Go to Settings
Go to Messages
Go to Send & Receive
Delete the email (Click on that email) that was entered in there underneath your phone number
then all your messages will just go to your phone number and not to your iPad

  • My sent folder is not showing all the emails I have sent. Why is this happening? This seems to be random, with some showing and others not. Since Thursday, nothing I've sent out is in the sent folder. More worrying, on my iPhone, the entire sent folder has been emptied.
  • Is there any way you can see where a text is being sent from? I think someone might be lying to me about where they are right now and I was wondering if there was any way I could see the location the text was sent from. We both have iPhones if that helps.
  • If I change my Apple ID will that stop imessages from being sent to another iPhone? I recently found out my ex was still receiving all of my imessages on his phone. While we were dating we had our phones set up on the same Apple ID account. I know that to stop the messages from being sent to his phone I need to go in and uncheck my number from "send and receive" but obviously that is not really an option. So if I were to just change my Apple ID would that stop the messages from being sent to his phone?
  • How to stop your messages being sent as iMessages? I may be being really dumb right now but every time I send a text it turns it into an iMessage, which means if the person I send it to doesn't have internet then they won't get it right? I can't work out how to just send a normal text for people who don't have Wi-Fi or iMessage on their phone… (I have an iPhone 6)
