How to stop an iPhone from looking for signal?

I'm going on a cruise to Bermuda in a week and i really want to bring my iPhone 4s so i can listen to music, take pictures etc. But i'm worried that i will get calls and texts while i'm there. It will cost a lot of money if i do get them, so how do i avoid it? I want my phone to not roam for signal and to now look for Wi-Fi, since you have to pay for Wi-Fi on the ship. I've never brought my phone to any of my other cruises, so I'm nervous about bringing this one.

  • Why does my iphone stop working after I change the date and how can I stop it from doing that? I changed the date to this day 5 years ago so I could extend my spotify premium trial (this actually works) but then me texts weren't sending or receiving same with BBM and Facebook and literally every other social network app and I couldn't connect to the App Store so I changed it back to auto and everything works but I want to stay on my spotify free trial please help

I have a 3gs unlocked and jailbroken iphone and it keeps loosing signal randomly, i can't send or receive calls or messages and it will randomly go off. Is it possible i need to jailbreak it again? And at times i turn on airplane mode then off and i'll recover signal for a couple of moments and i've tried turning it on and off as well as taking out the sim card, problem has been on going for 3 days -thanks
  • No service on iphone 4s at places i used to get perfect signal? I have a verizon iphone 4s and i literally used to get service EVERYWHERE and lately i've barely been getting any. Like at my house, my brother has an iphone 4s too and he gets perfect signal and i sometimes have absolutely none. this just started happening like a week ago, what's going on?
