How to stop my iPhone syncing songs from iTunes by itself?

Okay, so when I take the songs off of the playlist I used to sync songs to my iPhone it automatically puts them back on, these are only the songs I have bought/downloaded from iTunes WITH my iPhone and so the sake of clearing memory I'd like them off my phone. I've tried turning off auto-sync on my laptop and that didn't help either.

Is there a way of getting them off and if so how?

Any help appreciated.

If I plug my new iPhone in to the computer, will I be to transfer my iTunes songs on to my phone without it deleting anything? Will this make a difference when I plug my iPod into the computer?
