How to sync iphone 4 to 2011 ford fusion xlt 4wd?

Okay so i went and got a 2011 ford fusion (29000 miles only) and now i want to sync my iphone 4 to it. I have looked up how to do it on the internet and every option i've found doesn't work, i know that i could go to the ford dealership but i would like to do it myself. I have turned on the bluetooth on the phone, then i have gone in and pushed the phone button in the car and then i've done the search and scan and tune options none of which help or even came close to finding anything. Is there any other options?

The procedure is in the Owners Manual. It's very easy. I have a 2011 Fusion Hybrid. I sync my LG smart phone and everything works fine. If you can't get it right, go back to the dealership and the salesperson can program it for you for free.

It's possible your vehicle may not be equipped with SYNC. Because the radios are mass-produced, the phone button is found on all of them. Below are the pairing instructions for both systems.
