How to sync new iPhone with existing iTunes?
I know there are other questions like this but none of them are helping me. I just got the iPhone 4s and already had a Ipod 3g on my itunes but now i want to put the songs from the ipod to the iphone. How?
When i plug in the iphone it gives me two options
1. Set up new iphone
2.restore from the back up of ___.
Which one should i do?
Click Set Up New iPhone
Once that option is selected then you will have the option to name the iPhone. Then you will see many tabs on the screen. One of which is a "Music" tab. Click that tab then select app music in the check box. You may do this for all other tabs.
But having lost and stolen iPhone devices I think you should set up an iCloud account that will be able to sync your contacts, calendars, email, Find My iPhone Safari bookmarks and more.
- Will replacing my existing laptop hard drive affect my iTunes/iPhone? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but with me possibly losing my data from the main 2 devices I use in life I want to be sure. I've made a system image using windows 7's built-in backup software and will be replacing my faulty hard drive with a larger capacity new one. Seeing as it's a full system image it should save all the iTunes program data, settings, media (songs/videos) and iPhone backup shouldn't it?
- Songs in itunes won't sync to ipod but will sync to iphone? So i have over a 1000 songs in my itunes library and they will all sync to my iphone no problem. But when i try to sync to my ipad (which has enough memory available) it will not.
- Music won't sync to iphone when i sync itunes? I plug my iphone 4 into my computer, and sync my itunes stuff. It syncs the contacts, calendars, apps, everything except my music.
- If I sync another iphone to my iTunes will this delete my previous sync on iTunes? I synced my phone to iTunes and now let's say I want to sync my friends iphone to the same computer. Will this delete my previous sync? I'm hoping it does because I want my previous sync deleted as I don't want others getting my stuff on their iPhones thanks heaps
