How to tell if a microphone is working on your phone?
So I have this plug-in microphone I used to use with my iphone and it seemed like it worked for that. I now have an android, specifically a moto g4 plus, and it doesn't seem like it's working, however when I have it plugged in I can't hear sound from my phone so is that a good enough indicator that it's working? There's nothing wrong with the actual hole in the phone to plug stuff in, the audio quality just doesn't seem good with the external mic in comparison to normal. Is there any setting I can look at in my phone to see details about what's plugged in? I can't find any
Tap or blow into the mic while recording. If you hear it loudly then it's working
