How to transfer contacts from non smartphone to iPhone 4s? Different carrier?
I'm leaving Verizon for AT&T. I've got a Samsung Intensity II with Verizon, and my new phone is an iPhone 4s. Normally I transfer contacts using bluetooth but they won't pair. Says it's "unsupported." I can't use Verizon's Backup Assistant due to a glitch with the Samsung being pre-owned. I can't use the iCloud because a Samsung Intensity just can't do anything that fancy. Any low-tech ideas? Can AT&T do it if it's not an AT&T phone?
If we could refrain from giving our opinions about my choices and stick to answering my question I'd appreciate it.
At&t should be able to do it for you.
- What happens if I put the SIM card of a non smartphone into and iPhone? I use AT&T and I have an HTC but it isn't a smart phone. So if I cut the SIM card into a nano SIM card, which is used for iPhones, and put it in an iPhone 4S, will the phone work? Also I do not use data on my phone, only texting and calling and I'm not telling the AT&T people because they would make me get an iPhone which I can't do until my contract ends next year or ill have to pay 300 dollars.
- Verizon iPhone 4 on a different carrier? I have an iPhone 4 from Verizon, I cancelled my contract a year ago so it has a clean ESN now. I want to put service on it, looking for $30-$50/mo, all I need is at least 200 minutes of Talk, nothing else. Does anyone know of a carrier that will add service to this phone at that price? I found a service called Straight Talk SIM for GSM/AT&T phones, and I was hoping for a similar service for CDMA phones. Please, and thank you.
- IPhone 4S to 4? Different Carrier? My iPhone 4S broke, and my sister gave me her old iPhone 4, which was for Verizon. It has no sim card slot, so if I go into the AT&T store, will they be able to put my service onto the iPhone 4? Or is it carrier specific?
- If I buy an iphone used from another carrier ad buy a sim card from my carrier will that work? I have an iphone 4s with virgin mobile and I want an iphone 5 but all virgin mobile phones are so expensive! I looked on ebay for virgin mobile nano sim cards and they are only around 2 dollars. If I bought one of these sim cards and a used iphone 5 from another carrier would it work with my carrier?
