How to turn my iPhone into a simple universal remote?

If there's an inexpensive way of doing this that would be great. I'm however willing to pay. If there's no easy way without a high price, I would also like an example of a universal remote small pocket size that is like the sonic screwdriver universal remote yet not as themed?

Well then there's the sonic screwdriver which is small useful and easy to use. Is there another remote not so themed or identical. That is not a sonic screwdriver?

You would need an IR blaster built into your phone, which iPhone's don't come with. I believe there are attachments you can buy however.

You can't use the iPhone as a universal remote. It would either:
A. Need some sort of IR blaster or radar thing on the front.
B. Need a TV or what not that can connect to the iPhone over Wi-Fi ( I have no idea how to do that)

If you get Something like a Samsung gs4-5 or HTC one that comes with an IR blaster built in, you can get an app that lets you control the TV or cable box. Sorry if I wasn't much help

  • Is there a universal code for pairing an Iphone 4 to a car stereo deck? I have a new Planet Audio deck, Model #P9734B / my husbands android phone paired without a hitch, but my Iphone 4 is asking for a code. When I paired the same phone to my Ford Focus, the car gave me a code for pairing. The Planet Audio does not do this. There's nothing in the manual either.
  • Is it possible to use your iphone as a remote for your Wii Youtube app? Like how you can do it on the ps3. Can you use an iphone like a remote for the youtube channel on the Wii. The normal console, not the Wii U. Is there a way to pair them up?
