How to turn off auto rotation on the iPhone 5?

How do you turn off auto rotation on the iPhone 5?

Not sure if it is the same or not, but on my dads ipad (with iOS 6)
double press the home button
you app switcher menu will pop up, swipe from left to right in the menu
you should see some play/pause ff/rw buttons, and to the left was a button with an arrow going in a circle. This is the auto rotate button.

otherwise it should be in the settings under display or something. I don't use an iPhone so i can't help much. But it should be there somewhere.

Double click your home button swipe to the right, you will now see a symbol on the far left that look like a circle touch this and it will stop the rotation.

Double click the home button, on the bottom of your screen. You should see a menu pop up from the bottom. Swipe to the right on that menu, and it will bring up a different part of the menu. There should be a grey button with a circle. Click that once, and then click the home button again. To turn this off, simply do all steps again. When you click the circle, it will stop it.

Swipe up from the bottom & option buttons will appear on a gray background. In the upper right corner you will see the round arrow that usually means rotate or refresh. If there's a lock in the middle of the round arrow it means rotation is locked and your iPhone screen can't rotate. If there's no lock in the sooner it means rotation is on. Set auto rotate to your desired preference.

Sorry the above information above is incorrect. Swipe up from the bottom. You'll see the gray screen with the option buttons on it. If the auto rotate button is highlighted in WHITE it means that auto rotate is locked. Tap it to change it to your desired preference.
