How to turn off just GPS on iOS 6?
I know how to turn off location services but I want to turn off just GPS. I was able to do this on my S3 but is there a way to do it on the iPhone 5 (iOS 6.0.1)?
Go to settings, Privacy, Location Services, On and off. That Should do it! What do you mean by GPS location services only tracks were you are which is GPS so it can track your current location for apps like weather and such. What's the problem. You can shut off location services for just certain apps by doing the same thing but also turning off and on the apps that show. All the apps that shows are the apps that use location services so you can keep it on but turn it off for a certain application. Location services is GPS. What do you mean by GPS hope I could help:/
The person asking The question means: how to turn off the gps module (presumably to save battery) but keep location services turned on. The phone should then only use cell tower and Wi-Fi signal triangulation to determine location. In urban areas that method is really accurate and saves a lot of battery. You can do it on Android but I don't think you can do it on iOS.
