I Turn Off The GPS on iPhone 5/iPhone 4S can it still be tracked?

Okay so i'm 17 and my sister is 16, i have the iPhone 5 and she has the 4S. My parents are strict and smother us, and we like to have space and like to go out. So sometimes we leave at night. We like to have fun and got out. But iPhones are trackable right? So if we turn the iPhone gps and any other gps apps off can it still be tracked?

Well if you know that there's an app installed tracking the phone in the first place to worry about then yes, turning it off will make the phone untraceable.

Considering you're trying to conceal your whereabouts… Probably shouldn't do that. But yes if you turn the GPS off it shouldn't be able to be EASILY tracked. Although, there are ways to bypass that. There are location trackers that are based off triangulation, in which simply put if the device has data services/Wi-Fi connection it can be tracked as well. But usually cops and authorities are the people who can track devices in such a more in depth way.
