How to turn on voice navigation services in Maps on iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4S and i don't know how to get voice navigation in maps

Added (1). I updated it to ios6

Added (2). I believe it's automatically turned on but i don't know how to get it to speak to me.

By default, Voice Navigation should be turned on in iOS 6. I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 and Maps already had it turned on when I told it to start navigating. If that's not the case, go to Settings and scroll all the way down until you see "Maps" and tap that to find the Map settings and it should be in there.

I have always used the free mapquest app for voice navigation, its really good…

  • Why is Live Traffic on Iphone maps not showing up during navigation? When I use Apple Maps it only shows live traffic when I'm not using the turn by turn mode. As soon as I start it to give me directions the traffic data goes away. Anyway to fix this? I have turned on the traffic. Hence why it shows up before I start the turn by turn. The traffic data vanishes once its giving me directions
  • Old GPS or iPhone maps or google maps app? I'm going to drive from IL down to SC and I don't trust my old garmin nuvï 255 nor iphone maps lol:-) GPS update is $50 which I'm not going to spend. So has anyone used iphone maps or google maps app on long distance trips? Or I just better use old gps?
  • IPhone: Google maps or default apple maps? I personally like the default maps, at least the OS 7 version. (like everyone else who had a brain, I hated the OS 6 version) Which one do you guys like more? Which is more popular now?
  • IPhone app that transforms your voice and plays funny voice back? - 1 It's an old app but I don't its name. It records your voice and then plays it back transformed version of it and even when you laugh, it tries to mimic your laughter causing hysterical laughter. Do you know what I'm talking about?
